This page explains, in plain language, what information Aawaz Academy of Music ("we", "us") collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- Enquiry and demo forms: your name, phone number, optional email, the course and class mode you are interested in, and any message you write.
- Google sign-in: when you sign in, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. We never see or store your Google password.
- Learner details you add: for example a learner's name, date of birth, instruments and level, so we can place them in the right batch. Parents may add details for their children.
- Class records: batch requests, enrolments, attendance and messages with our support team.
- Basic technical data: your IP address and browser information, used to keep the site secure and to prevent spam.
How we use it
- To contact you about your enquiry, demo class or batch request, by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- To run classes: scheduling, attendance, sharing online class links with enrolled learners, and progress updates.
- To keep accounts secure and protect the site from abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Only our own teachers and staff who need it to help you. We use trusted service providers to run the website (for example hosting and Google sign-in), and they process data only on our behalf. Videos on this site are served by YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you press play. The map is provided by Google Maps.
Children
Many of our learners are children. We expect a parent or guardian to create the account and add their child's details, and we use those details only to teach and look after the learner.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and account and class records while you are a student and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you or your child, or to stop contacting you. Write to us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
